1. Service provider and contact details

Iceland Atlas is a service operated by Utrip S.r.l. (trading as Utrip Travel Lab), with registered office at Via della Bufalotta 5, 00139 Rome (RM), Italy, VAT and tax number 17381681000, REA RM 1714866 ("Iceland Atlas", "we", "us" or "our").

For support, complaints, withdrawal or purchase-related requests, email support@geticelandatlas.com. For personal-data matters, email support@geticelandatlas.com.

2. Scope and acceptance

These Terms govern access to the website and use of Iceland Atlas content, accounts, maps, itineraries, audio guides, live data and other digital features. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form part of these Terms.

By using the service, you confirm that you have the legal capacity required to do so. If you act for another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind them. A purchase may be made only by an adult or by someone legally authorised to enter into it.

3. What Iceland Atlas provides

Iceland Atlas is a digital guide for planning travel in Iceland. Depending on the plan, it may include editorial content, maps, budgeting tools, audio guides, road, weather, aurora and volcano data, and artificial-intelligence-assisted itinerary creation and editing.

The features, usage limits and number of itineraries included in each plan are those displayed on the purchase page when you place the order. Free previews do not grant access to paid-plan features.

Iceland Atlas is not a travel agency, tour operator, emergency service, or weather or road authority. Unless expressly stated, we do not sell or arrange transport, accommodation, car rental, tours or other travel services.

4. Accounts and security

Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your contact details current and protect your access methods. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except for unauthorised use that is not attributable to you. Tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.

Your account is personal and may not be transferred, sold or shared to bypass plan limits. We may ask you to verify your email address or phone number to activate or recover access.

5. Plans, prices and payment

Essential, Explorer and Road Trip Pro are purchased through a one-time payment and do not renew automatically. The total price, applicable taxes, included features and any limits are shown before you confirm the order.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store complete card details on our servers. Plan access is normally activated after payment confirmation and may require the purchase to be linked to a verified account. The order confirmation and receipt are evidence of purchase.

If you upgrade, the price and terms shown at checkout apply. A purchase does not grant any right to resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the content.

6. Access and technical requirements

The service requires a compatible device, a current browser and, for many features, an internet connection. Offline features must be prepared on the device while a connection is available and may depend on storage, operating system and browser settings. Live data, synchronisation, payments and itinerary generation do not work offline.

A purchase grants a personal right to access the selected plan, not ownership of the software or content. Where checkout describes access as having no fixed expiry, it has no predetermined end date, subject to the service changes described in section 13 and without affecting statutory rights.

7. 7-day commercial guarantee and withdrawal rights

For paid plans purchased directly from Iceland Atlas, we offer a full-refund commercial guarantee for 7 calendar days after purchase. You may claim it without giving a reason by emailing support@geticelandatlas.com from the address used for the purchase and providing the information needed to identify the order. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

This commercial guarantee is additional to and does not restrict any 14-day statutory right of withdrawal or other mandatory consumer rights that may apply. To exercise a statutory withdrawal right, where applicable, send an unequivocal statement to the same support address before the deadline.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost only where performance has begun after the consumer's express consent and acknowledgement of that loss, in the circumstances and manner required by law. Nothing in these Terms alone constitutes that consent or acknowledgement.

8. AI itineraries, live data and safety

Itineraries, summaries and suggestions generated or adapted using artificial intelligence may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. They support planning; they are not professional advice or safety instructions. You must independently check feasibility, distances, opening times, bookings, accessibility, equipment, and whether activities are suitable for the health, experience and conditions of your group.

Weather, roads, volcanic activity, aurora and other live data may come from external sources and may be incomplete, delayed or unavailable. Before and during your trip, always consult official Icelandic sources, local signs, authorities and operators. In danger or an emergency, contact the competent services; do not rely on Iceland Atlas as an alert or rescue channel.

10. Licence and intellectual property

The software, text, photographs, graphics, trade marks, editorial maps, audio, databases and content selection are protected by intellectual-property laws and belong to Iceland Atlas or the relevant licensors.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service and access or download the content included in your plan solely to plan and undertake your own travel. You may export your itineraries for personal use. Without written permission, you may not republish, sell, license, build databases from, train models on, systematically scrape or commercially exploit the service.

11. Prohibited use

You may not use Iceland Atlas for unlawful or fraudulent activity; infringe others' rights; bypass access controls or plan limits; interfere with security or operation; introduce malware; automate requests abusively; extract content or data at scale; attempt unauthorised access; or use outputs or content in a dangerous or misleading way or contrary to instructions from authorities.

12. User-provided content and data

You retain ownership of the information, preferences, notes and itineraries you enter. You give us only the permission needed to host, process, synchronise and display them to provide and protect the service. You must have the right to share that data and must not submit unlawful or harmful content or another person's personal data without a valid basis.

Our processing of personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy. Keep a copy of essential itineraries and travel documents: Iceland Atlas is not a substitute archive for original documents.

13. Availability, updates and service changes

We aim to keep the service available and current but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance and change the interface, sources, content or features for security, compliance, technical improvement or product development.

We will not arbitrarily remove the essential features of a paid plan. Where a change has a more than minor negative impact on access to or use of a continuously supplied digital service, we will provide the information and remedies required by applicable law.

14. Conformity and liability

Consumers have statutory conformity rights and remedies for digital content and services. If the service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract, contact us so that conformity can be restored and any further statutory remedies can be provided.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss caused by travel decisions made without checking official sources, third-party conduct, matters outside our reasonable control, or use of the service contrary to these Terms. For users acting for business or professional purposes, indirect loss and loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or reduces mandatory consumer rights.

15. Suspension, closure and account deletion

You may stop using the service and request account deletion through available features or by contacting support. Deletion does not automatically refund completed purchases, except where the guarantee, withdrawal rights or other remedies apply. Some data may be retained for legal obligations, security and dispute management as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, or legal compliance. Where possible, we will explain the reason and allow you to challenge the decision.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The published version states the date of the latest update. For material changes affecting rights under an existing paid plan, we will give reasonable advance notice through the service or available contact details, except for urgent security or legal changes.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you retain the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence. Consumer disputes are heard by the court designated under applicable mandatory rules; in all other cases, the courts of Rome have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. You may also contact a competent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body where available.

18. General

If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the others remain effective. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer the contract without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service, without reducing consumer rights and with notice where required.
